Body Action System Reviews
Body Action System is a full body workout machine by Bas Rutten which mimics MMA training. It is claimed to provide 30x more muscle activation and workouts can be completed in less time than other methods.
This appears to be a next-gen punching bag with interactive focus pads. It is set up to mimic a live opponent with head, arms, and lower body sections. You can practice punches and kicks on the machine, and follow along with tutorials on the accompanying DVD’s.
Some of our testers felt that certain combos (such as those including low kicks) felt a bit awkward, and their stances were altered to try to accommodate these kinds of moves. The general consensus, however, was that this machine is excellent for practicing certain punches and kicks, and provides a nice workout, but some real-world MMA combos may not be as easily performed. There are also a number of self-defense moves which are covered in the accompanying DVD’s and these are generally well-handled with the BAS. While some kicks may have felt awkwards, our testers also stated that other moves, such as uppercuts, were superior on the BAS over competing products.
The base of the unit is perhaps the most problematic for some users. Although it ships with sand bags (unfilled), some reviewers have concluded that additional weight is required to prevent the unit from excessive shaking.
Reviews tend to be somewhat mixed for the BAS, which is clearly a results of varying consumer preferences. Are you looking for a workout machine or an MMA training device? Are you looking to deliver bone-crushing blows, or a long series of lighter attacks? The consensus, however, leans toward the positive.
Similar Products
Perhaps the closest popular rival to BAS would be that of B.O.B. (Body Opponent Bag), which can be found in a variety of models and prices. These are generally well-received by reviewers on Amazon, with a 4.5 – 5-star rating in most cases. A much higher-end competitor would be something in the Nexersys line, which can run several thousand dollars.

Pretty much summed it up in the pro and con. But for the quality that for you to decide I’m only 160 now and have been for a few years now my heaviest was 250. But what I’m getting at is if I can trash this that badly I can’t see it taking the abuse from a heavy weight.
