Gripeez are gripping pads which can be used to hang a variety of objects, without the use of nails or hooks, and which are said to be removed without a trace. The double-sided sticky material works like double-sided tape, adhering to the surface and the object to be hung. The pads are 3 inches by 2.5 inches in size.
The official product website is buygripeez.com, which has a registration date of January 6, 2014. It is marketed by Inventel, which is responsible for other As Seen on TV products such as Butterfly Abs and Luma Candles.

Cost and Availability
Gripeez cost $10 plus $4.95 P&H. A second set is included for another $4.95, but as of this writing you can’t opt out of this second set, which means your minimum total order price will be $19.90 for 20 Gripeez pads. Pay close attention to the wording when selecting a quantity for your order. It reads, “How many ‘Buy 1, Get 1 Free’ offers would you like?” Thus, selecting “1” is actually choosing a set of two, which can be confusing to some customers.
As of January 2016, Gripeez can be found in some stores such as Fry’s for about $10.

Gripeez are sold in sets of 10, although unfortunately they do not let you opt out of the second “free” set. The familiar design is that of double-sided tape or mounting squares. A plausible question would be What sets Gripeez apart from the competition? That’s something we are still trying to ascertain, as its benefits over the competition are not apparent.
Mounting pads such as these are often marketed as reusable and washable, although the reality is that they tend to degrade with reuse. We have yet to find a mounting pad from any vendor which sticks as well after the first use.
Gripeez has relatively mixed marks by those who have tried the product. As of this writing, it currently has a 2.5 star rating on Amazon, with over 60% of votes being only 1 star. The majority of unhappy customers have stated that it simply didn’t work as expected.
How it will fare in the long run is a question that remains to be answered. The $20 online price tag is also something that may not be justified when similar products are available locally for a fraction of the price. Picking it up locally will allow you to try it cheaper, avoiding shipping and the “buy one get one” offer.
Perhaps a telltale sign of the popularity of Gripeez is that it has been spotted marked down at retailers such as Bed Bath and Beyond to as low as $5.
Similar Products
There are other products on the market which perform, and are advertised, in the manner of Gripeez. Scotch Removable Mounting Squares, for example, have the same basic function and features as Gripeez. The Scotch product is also much cheaper at around $3, and readily available at stores such as Walmart, Target, or Lowe’s.
Epic Conclusion
Gripeez is an As Seen on TV product which is used to hang objects, supposedly without damaging the object or the surface. While early reviews give it high marks for its initial hanging jobs, how it performs with multiple uses is less documented.
I have put these on clean surfaces in my office. The next day, every single item I placed on the wall had fallen off. I thought I had done something wrong so I gave it two more tries. Each time, I’d come in the morning and everything – I mean everything – was on the floor. The Gripeez did not hold a one ounce paper bag. I also noticed that the smaller size hook it came with was drooping off from the Gripeez as well even when nothing was hanging from it. This stuff is garbage. I tried to send it back but there is no return address or email. This is a consumer ripoff.
I purchased this online, new, and had high hopes for it. I started by attaching my old iPad to the wall with a pillow under in case it fell. It seemed to stick ok so I got brave. I used 4 full strips to hang my wedding photo (less than 5 lbs and I used 4 strips) and it fell. It ruined my photo. It only held for about 5 hours. I was asleep and heard a crash and my heart fell… I knew what happened. Please heed my warning and avoid this product!

Bought online 9/2015 after seeing “gripeez” TV Commercial.
First off the online “www.gripeez.com” website makes you decline 15 other (junk overpriced) products before you get to the final “order page” (BAD sign) for gripeez.
Then, at the “gripeez” website, I could not just order 10 for $10 (which is low enough if they are crap I just return them) LIKE THEY ADVERTISE — but they GOUGE Us Consumer’s by adding $5.00 “shipping” and then $4.95 “handling”, for a total of $ 9.95 “shipping costs” (come on, weighs less than a pound so it is clear they are making a profit on shipping (2nd BAD sign).
Finally, a few days later they call me on my cell (shipping phone number) as a “courtesy call” and try to sell me “Budget Savers” for $1.00 no doubt a criminal fraud scam like the rest of it — it is clear the employee lady gets chewed out alot as I never gave them permission to call me, the number is in case of SHIPPING PROBLEMS, But I got their Information !
It is a Marketing Company that called me illegally by twisting the Do Not Call rules and Gripeez giving them my SHIPPING PHONE NUMBER — again you have to know this distinction as I provided my number for shipping problems, NOT to be called to try to sell me more CRAP stuff.
The Company at: 19321 E US HIGHWAY, CLEARWATER, FL 33764, is called “QUALITY RESOURCES,” and the precise address is 19321 US Hwy 19 N # 200, Clearwater, FL 33764) —Thier (Quality Resources) Phone is 866-434-6600, and they are the ones acting illegally in violation of federal law…..they CAN BE SUED for this as again, Gripeez was given MY phone for shipping problems, NOT for sales calls which are not permitted — Call a Lawyer, SUE THEM (if 100s of people did this that can prove they called them will get some satisfaction).
Finally, Walmart and Kroger have “gripeez” in their TV Section, and of course, they do not work and are marked down to $2.00 as I was just there — Bottom line Gripeez, DO NOT WORK (anything attached by gripeez to the wall or whatever, WILL FALL AND IF IT IS BREAKABLE, IT WILL BREAK — do not put your cell phone on these as they will tumble to the ground and BREAK !!
So, another scam – it is best just to make a rule to NEVER, EVER, buy anything from a TV Infomercial — and the reason is simple — if it worked and was reputable, it would be in a Store selling like (some) of the decent products.
My Guess is most Retailers and Distributing companies DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH PRODUCTS WHICH FAIL AT 99% — so they refuse to carry them as they have to deal with ALL OF THEM BEING RETURNED !! How can a company deal with that and make money — so, if a commercial EVER SAYS NOT SOLD IN STORES — that is your cue DO NOT EVER BUY IT, as being in stores is what every decent, working product wants to be, not a one shot, fly-by-night, scam, that has to RIP PEOPLE OFF of their hard earned money !!
RETURN THE PRODUCT, IN THE *ORIGINAL SHIPPING PACKAGING* and get a $1.50 tracking number from the post office so you know they got it back *(and you can prove it)* so they refund your monies – sure your out shipping on your side, but I would argue they MUST refund shipping they charged (the $5.00 and $4.95 above) US for the reason they are in a fraudulent, ongoing criminal enterprise as they know, or should know, the gripeez ” do NOT work even for 10 minutes — it is a CRIMINAL FRAUD scam — period.
But the Gov. does not know this till ALL OF YOIU READING THIS COMPLAIN — otherwise they figure it is a regular decent product SO COMPLAINING BY EMAIL (“in writing”) IS SO VERY, VERY IMPORTANT — and follow through with it, you will get your money back if you push it forward and do not stop till your satisfied (people who say, ah, its only $20 are the ones who perpetuate this as 20 x 100,000 people is how much money? Its 2 Million Dollars they steal every year if they do 100k sales..
COMPLAIN IN WRITING PEOPLE — GET YOUR MONEY BACK (I spent the time to write this and how to do so, so google FTC, Florida Atty. General complaint line, and Do NOT CALL LIST Complaints and make written complaints – if you do not spend 5 minutes doing it after being ripped off, WHO WILL?
As for Quality Resources, they have been scamming and ripping OFF People for a LONG LONG TIME in Clearwater , FL (look at their employee ratings at indeed.com) — if you, and just a 1000 more people complained in a WRITTEN (EMail) COMPLAINTS to the US GOV- FTC for Fraud, and the DO NOT CALL LIST complaint page, for calling when they were provided a shipping error phone number, and used it to make sales scam calls == then finally this would END.
THE FLORIDA STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL , would put them out of business pretty quick as they would have to pay back all the people they ripped off (and for gosh sake I hope you did not order their “Budget Savers” they called you about using the shipping error phone number, as they no doubt rip-off your BUDGET ) AND NEVER USE A DEBIT CARD, IF YOU DID BETTER CALL THE BANK TO BLOCK THEM AS IT WAS A FRAUD SCAM and block their ability to charge it, and get a new card…..
FINALLY NEVER use a debit card for sales, as a credit card has better protections and it is the CREDIT CARD they are ripping off, not your Cash in your checking account…..if you must get a secured credit card, NEVER use a debit card except for TRUSTED places and infomercials ARE NOT trusted places…)

I have to say was disappointed in this product. Yes it has its uses, if you have a cell phone that you want to put on a pretty horizontal dash. But the package says that you can hang something up to 5 lb.’s and it will stay there until you want to take it off. I hung my 7 inch tablet on a mirror so that I could watch a show while putting on my make up before going to work and by the time i got home it had fell off. I was not sure whether to trust the product and put a towel under it to catch it so i would be protecting my tablet in case the Gripeez didn’t work. Thank goodness I did or I am sure I would have had a cracked screen. I bought my Gripeez at a Walgreens store so at least I am not out shipping.
But quit promising things you can not do GRIPEEZ!!! Will not buy more.
Very disappointed in this product l am in a rental be good no marks brought mine from big w I have car pictures and posters but won’t hold them stays up for a bit then falls down paid $20 for pack of 10 had 4on each pictures still did not hold.
After ordering these online, I decided to try a small amount first and canceled the order & got confirmation of the cancelation. I bought a package at Bed, Bath and Beyond on to learn that these did not work. I have a couple of gouges in my walls where the items fell and they were not beyond the weight limit. They sent the online order regardless of the cancellation. I tried getting and refund and they used every excuse in the book why they couldn’t give it to me. I returned the product without paying the extra $10+ for shipping and they told me without an order number they could not give me a refund. This is nothing but a scam to me.
