Roto Clipper Review: Does it Work?
• Trims nails as advertised
• Safe to use
• Easy to clean
• Comfortable grip
• Not faster or more efficient than regular nail clippers.
Roto Clipper is an As Seen on TV product which trims and files nails simultaneously. While we wouldn't say it works as impressively as the advertising demonstrates, it does perform the job moderately well. There isn't a compelling time difference over standard nail clippers, but in some cases - such as that of small children - Roto Clipper may be a superior choice.
Review of Roto Clipper, a battery-operated device which supposedly allows consumers to trim their nails more easily than traditional fingernail clippers.
Roto Clipper
This product allows users to trim and file fingernails at the same time. You simply press the button and insert your nail, which is then slowly filed to the desired size and shape. The user rocks the nail back and forth in order to achieve the proper shape when completed.
Roto Clipper required two AA batteries. The product is marketed by Lenfest Media Group, which has successfully promoted such products as Catch Caddy and Juggle Bubbles.
The official product website is rotoclipper.com. As you can see from the two screenshots below, the price and online offer have changed from April 2015 to December 2015.

Roto Clipper Reviews
We first spotted Roto Clipper advertising in April 2015, and it was likely being test marketed at the time. By late 2015, it the product was seen in heavy rotation in a renewed advertising campaign.
Roto Clipper appears almost identical to another product called the Pursonic NC1 Electric Nail Trimmer. That product has a lukewarm 2.5 stars on Amazon, with several reviewers comparing it to an electric nail filer. The little feedback we have received has also been lukewarm at best. It would appear that those who are dissatisfied with the product believe that the motor is not strong enough to perform its function efficiently.
Our own evaluation of the product was also somewhat lukewarm. The trimmer worked moderately most of the time, although some testers felt that the motor wasn’t powerful enough to file as quickly as shown in the advertising. Indeed, in most cases we found trimming nails to go faster with a standard pair of nail clippers than with Roto Clipper. The strength of the battery seemed to affect how well it cut nails.
That said, there are cases where a product such as Roto Clipper may come in handy, especially that of small children who squirm or are afraid to have their nails trimmed.
Roto Clipper is comfortable to hold, and operation is relatively quiet. Cleaning is not problematic, and it is safe to touch.
Epic Conclusion
Roto Clipper is an As Seen on TV product which trims and files nails simultaneously. While we wouldn’t say it works as impressively as the advertising demonstrates, it does perform the job moderately well. There isn’t a compelling time difference over standard nail clippers, but in some cases – such as that of small children – Roto Clipper may be a superior choice.

Roto clipper is a piece of crap it’s not worth ten cents I bought two and only one runs would not cut my nails I have Parkinson’s and thought it would help me in cutting my nails boy was I wrong a big mistake
Sorry that happened, friend. I’m just getting old and it’s getting hard to cut my toenails, so I can only imagine how much harder it must be for you with Parkinson’s. I wish I knew what to recommend, but thanks for steering me away from the Roto-Clipper, I guess… Hope you find a good solution. Have some pretty young woman cut them for you at a salon, maybe. Anyway, good luck.
Thanks for leaving a comment on this. Was considering it until I read your review. I don’t need another piece of junk to dispose of.
Thanks for posting a review on this product. Was considering purchasing one, but after reading your comment I have decided against it. Everyone who purchases a product, and an opportunity to post a review, should do so to help others make a more informed decision. Thanks again for taking the time to do so.
False advertisement. Doesn’t do what is saids.Wasted money.Got two and gave one to a friend. She saids the same thing about it,piece of JUNK.
Thanks friends!

Now I have trouble just walking. Who ever said that these are the Golden Years must have been young or rich. I’m poor hurting and afraid to use my $700.00 a month Oduma health care because of all of the out of pocket crap. No I got the idiots name right!!!!!

It is so refreshing to find honest people such as yourselves who give honest reviews. Unlike so many others. Have you noticed on amazon.com there is quit a bit of the reviews come from others who have received the product for free or for a small charge? Of course they are going to be more positive about their reviews! I too don’t have the money to waste on junk.
Thanks for the warning. You saved me $20.00 and then some.
Ordered two for Christmas gift haven’t received them yet but may send them right back they were shipped Nov 30 now Dec 6 no receipt yet
You could save some energy by throwing your money in a garbage can instead of having any hope that this junk is worth two nickels….. hint: it’s not. Thank You.
I just received the roto clipper for christmas, much dissappointment I was. Ive spent 6 months growing and grooming my nails, as soon as I tried this clipper it totally messed up my nails, made my nails jagged and splits. What a waste, a word to the wise if you see it on television, stay away from it, my emory board (.99) and nail clippers $ 2.99 is cheaper and most effective
Have arthritis, last two times i used a clipper I cut my toes and bled like a stuck pig. Found if I dry my toes right out of the shower, it does a passable job when the nails are soft from being in water. Be sure and take off the clipper and empty out the clippings after each use as it fills up with clippage. It’s better than clipping off the end of my toes, anyways, and having to go to a podiatrist.
Received my 2 today. 1 will turn on the other will not. The one that turns on the blades do not turn so both are crap junk waste of money. Tried calling the return number and all I get is a recording telling me to stay on the line. Have tried numerous times and cant get anyone human to answer. Terrible product terrible company. AVOID DO NOT ORDER!
Unless your finger nails are paper thin, this will not work. Even the file is terrible. If you buy this after reading this then the saying, “there’s a sucker born every minute’, is true.
My mother ordered one and got the free one. One does not work at all and the other one the motor is not strong enough to preform as shown in advertising. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Save your money!!!
dont bother junk
Ordered the extra blades, which weren’t included. Didn’t matter though, these clippers just do no work.
This is a complete waste of money!
Another TV scam!
Do not buy!
If you find one one these at a yard sale and you will!!! Don’t buy it. Wait if it has good batteries and it’s like ten cents. You got some batteries!
Piece of junk, simply does not work..Scammed again.
I bought this product and it does not work yet
I was very excited when I saw this, I’m old, and can’t bend so well. So I thought that this tool would help to trim my toe nails. When I actually received it and tried it out, I was bummed out. I tried it on a toe nail, after about 10 or so minutes, probably longer, I saw a little tiny dent in my toe nail.
I estimate that it would at least a week, (no exaggeration), to do ONE toenail.
My advice: DO NOT TRUST ADVERTISERS, (especially “As Seen On TV) do your own research first.
