The handheld Amope Pedi Perfect offers consumers an electronic pedicure in the comfort of their own home. It seems to be highly rated with a majority of reviewers awarding it 4 to 5 stars on many websites. Some reviewers who rated the Pedi Perfect unfavorably felt that the motorized roller was lacking in power. There are many possible alternative for at-home callus removal which include other electronic filers as well as very reasonably priced manual options such as a pumice stone or foot file.
Review of the Amopi Pedi Perfect, a battery-powered callus remover for the feet. It features an ergonomic handle, a Microlumina roller, and a safety stop.
Amope Pedi Perfect
The Amope Pedi Perfect is a handheld electronic device which claims to quickly remove dry hardened skin and calluses. It is powered by four AA batteries and features a rotating roller head which is covered in micro-granulates (“diamond crystals”) that buff away hard skin in minutes. There is also a convenient safety stop which turns off power to the roller when too much pressure is applied. An extra roller is included with purchase of Pedi Perfect. Additional rollers can be purchased in sets of two for around $15.
In late 2015, rollers with diamond crystals were introduced.
The official product website is featured at Amope.com.
Cost and Availability
Amope Pedi Perfect can be purchased online at Amazon.com, or can be found in the foot-care section of stores such as CVS, Rite Aid, Target, Walgreens, and Walmart for about $32-$38.
Purchasing locally may be a wise decision as customers can avoid delivery delays and any added shipping charges. This will also facilitate the return process, if necessary.
The addition of rollers with diamond crystals does not appear to have changed the price.

Amope Pedi Perfect Reviews
The Amope Pedi Perfect is well-rated across numerous websites. In fact, it seems to be one of the more highly rated electronic callus removers. For example, there are over 200 user reviews on Amazon with a collective rating of 4.6 stars out of 5. 77% of these reviewers give the product 5 stars while only 4% rated it at 1 star.
Hundreds of our readers here at Epic Reviews have given the product a 3.4-star rating.
By far, the most common complaint among those unfavorable reviews is that the Pedi Perfect motor lacks sufficient power for the price. Many of these unsatisfied customers expressed frustration that the safety stop kicked in when pressure was applied. It seems there is a certain amount of finesse and patience required to operate the unit effectively, and good results may be time consuming with repeated usage being necessary.
We found Pedi Perfect to work as expected, removing dead skin and smoothing the area with satisfactory results. Pressing too hard may make the roller stop spinning, especially if the batteries are not at full strength. With a fresh set of batteries, Pedi Perfect met our expectations.
A Fox News affiliate featured the Amope Pedi Perfect in a “Deal or Dud” segment with the tester describing it as a “deal”.
Pro tip: You may want to use the product over a towel, as dead skin flakes will accumulate below your work area.
Diamond Crystals?
Newer advertisements, which began running in December 2015, highlight the product’s “Roller head with diamond crystals” although this seems absent from earlier advertisements and the original packaging, as shown below.
In addition to the packaging shown above, which shows Pedi Perfect with and without diamond crystals, both versions can still be found on Amazon. The Amope website does not distinguish between the two, although it does refer to the roller as “The new, unique roller heads with diamond crystals…” Thus, it would appear that Amope has upgraded its roller head and is merely replacing the original version with this one, without referring to them as different products.
This could make reviews someone convoluted, as comments will include reaction from consumers who have used both roller types.
Alternatives
There are many possible alternatives to the Amope Pedi Perfect.
For those who prefer manual callus removal, an exfoliating pumice stone or foot file can be purchased for several dollars. Other potential manual options include the egg-shaped Ped Egg and a callus removal cream called Callus Clear.
Other electronic options include the Ped Egg Power, the Laurant Personal Pedi, and/or the seemingly well-rated Emjoi Micro-Pedi.

In late 2015, a new roller head with diamond crystals appeared to replace the original roller. Because it was not re-branded, reviews for both models will be lumped together. Be sure to know which version you are getting, as the new model is updated over the original.

I prefer manual and paying $10 for the foot system from footpedicure.net And you can use a metal file that works just as good or better than an electric one like that.
I got one of these items as a gift. I was in the middle of doing my feet and it stopped working. Sat the machine down, got up to find batteries, came back to put them in, i sat down and accidentally sat down on the machine and it burned my leg. My husband took the batteries out and they were to hot to even touch. And now it will not work. They paid $50 for this machine and it worked once. Not cool at all.
ha haaa im laughing at the part where you sat down on it LoL! poor baby for it burning your leg tho 🙁 i hope youre ok! i have it and like it but then again i try EVERYTHING for my feet cause im a pretty feet enthusiats, STILL best deal going is get a foot spa bath for your feet sit and watch tv with your feet soaking for about 30 minutes to an hour and then pumice / use callous scraper massage shea butter on feet then put 2 pairs of thick socks on umph umph upmh GOOD! but imma put this amope in my rotation cause i got mine for $22.50 but now you can go on ebay and get it for $17.55 woo hooo! the BEST to you take care!
It happened to me also but i ordered mine on ebay. White trying it for the first time it stopped working, gets hot and smells like burning plastic. Now im mad coz it wasted my money. 🙁
I received this as a gift and will be returning it. It does not work as advertised and is a waste of money and my time. The Ped Egg does better and it is cheaper. My feet are in good shape with only a rough spot or two and this wouldn’t even remove that. I am very disappointed that this doesn’t work as advertised!
Love amope. Bought two weeks ago walgreens . My feet feel wonderful. Plan on going back to buy amope moisturizer. Ladies you will have
Spent money well for your feet . If you tend to stand eight hours like I do and your feet take a beating
The amope will definitely leave them feel in pampered . Thanks pedi perfect
I Bought Amope 5/23/15 , took it home used it ” loved it “. Honestly my feet get so in such bad shape. As long as it continues to work it is worth the money.
I just recently bought this & tried to use it tonight. I’m going to have to take it back & get my money back for it. This does not work as it says it does. I haven’t been able to use it at all. I didn’t even apply real firm pressure to my feet & the roller stops. It doesn’t allow me to do anything to my feet with it. A total waste of money!
I received the Amope foot system. It made my feet rougher than they were. I reached out to customer service and asked if they had a buffer or something to smooth your feet. They informed me no. I would not recommend this product.
I totally agree! If you want to spend an hour with it “grinding” on one spot on your heel..it might make a tiny bit of a difference…by the time you move it over a quarter of an inch, the roller needs replacing! The cost of the rollers are like $17.00! What a joke! What a rip off!! And like you say..a total waste of money! Wish I wouldn’t have threw away the packaging..they’d be getting it back for sure!!
Yah right! Good try! You’re probably president of the company .. and now you thought you would promote the foot moisturizer! I hate false advertising and advertisers! Your prduct is useless! And it really sucks that i spent my hard earned money to “treat” myself for once to something i thought i deserved! Bad decision on my part! I trusted this product would work like it did on your commercial..wish i would have saved the packaging! You would have got it back! Shame on you!
Obsessed! Have had it for 6 months. Love it!
When I was a C.N.A on my feet all night long it ruined my feet now I get hard skin on the sides of my heels. I use sand paper and this little pink foot file in the shape of an egg that you do by hand paid about $5 for it at Walmart. I’ve been looking for a foot file that’s electronic like the amope and was close to buying it until I read the reviews and found out that someone said it stops when you apply pressure. Looks like I’m back to searching!
I have personally used the Amope pedi perfect and it works perfectly.
I really enjoy the pedi perfect, but its unfair you came out with different files! Not all can afford these!
I got this for a for and I love ❤ it! I don’t knew what he complaints are about because it’s awesome! My feet look amazing. Like, I went to the spa
I think the Amope electronic foot file is great, especially the new roller heads – they don’t sell any products on the site but I’ve found it very informative: http://www.amope.ca/home/amop%C3%A9-magazine/express-pedi/
I wrote a good review a few months back regarding my performance with the Amope electronic foot file. I have recommended this product to my family and friends. But I encountered a problem with my unit after a year and asked in my review for Amope to get a hold of me and to provide me with an address where I can get the unit repaired. I received a call from amope representative “Christian”
who listened to my issue and advised me to wait for a coupon in the mail from him and sent the unit with the coupon to an address in Parsippany in New yersey Zip code #07054 P.O. box 224. Well the coupon did not arrive at the home address I gave him and I still cannot use my unit. Please follow up on this and get back to me. I am starting to think this was a hoax.
I wrote a review about this product on the Amope website. They were nice enough since /i was dissatisfied to ask me to call them to remove the issue. I had already called them and sent them the product back several months ago and I didn’t hear back. I call them back and get interrogated like a criminal about a NAIL FILE SYSTEM. I have no idea why they wanted to talk to me again if they want to be mean to me. The person I spoke with is not a very good representative for the company. And after he was nasty to me he says I hope you have a Merry Christmas. I couldn’t believe it and just ended the call. This company is not a very reputable company to deal with.
A company is only as good as its customer service.
I had decided to forgo pedicures for a while but my feet were getting really caloused, soooo, I reviewed many a comment on its usage, both positive and negative. NOW, I live in Canada where the price is almost $60 and $20 for extra rollers of paper. It is amazingly easy to use, does the job it is meant to do BUT only if you follow the correct instruction. If you feel you must make it dig into your skin, then, hey it is not going to work, BUT just let it hang lightly on the feet and off it goes getting rid of that dry stuff. A great investment for any feet. I am now going to attack my husbands feet and they are all of almost 80 years on the planet. My feet? smooth as a babies behind 🙂
